Job Summary
Lead the delivery of structural steel and metal fabrication projects in the Palm Beach, FL area, owning projects end-to-end from pre-construction through close-out. Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, coordinate shop drawing reviews, submittals and RFIs, review and negotiate contracts and subcontractor scopes, monitor costs and change orders, mentor field crews, serve as primary client contact with GCs and engineers, enforce OSHA safety standards, ensure building code compliance, and drive successful project close-out with punch lists and warranty documentation. Requires deep knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection, ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and strong leadership and communication skills; PMP is a plus.)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 10+ years of project management experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
- Proficiency in MS Project, Planner, Bluebeam, or equivalent PM tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Deep knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection practices
- Ability to interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications independently
- PMP certification a plus
- OSHA and construction safety standards knowledge
- Experience coordinating pre-construction activities (shop drawings, submittals, RFIs)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
