Job Summary
Lead project management for assigned facilities projects, ensuring profitability, safety, schedule, and quality while overseeing personnel decisions. Establish comprehensive project management plans covering scope, procurement, financial, and risk strategies. Participate in preconstruction, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiations to champion work execution. Coordinate with superintendents and engineers on means and methods, CPM scheduling, and Lean processes. Manage budgets, cost control, and change orders while preparing monthly progress reports and ensuring timely billings. Execute purchase orders and subcontracts, manage warranty callbacks, and prevent or resolve claims. Step I handles projects under $20 million; Step II manages $20–$50 million projects.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
- Experience in preconstruction and in managing construction projects
- Thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Must have experience with process mechanical equipment and managing process mechanical scopes
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Step I level is capable of less complex projects of $20 million and under in size and typically with 3 to 5 years of experience in this position
- Step II level is capable of medium scale projects of $20 - $50 million in size with typically 5 to 10 years of experience
