Job Summary
Manage and execute all aspects of capital projects, leading development of project specifications and preparing scopes of work and requests for quote. Identify manufacturers and contractors to obtain competitive bids, then review quotes, submit purchase requisitions, and track costs. Plan, schedule, and coordinate installation, commissioning, and qualification activities while preparing change control documentation and operational qualification protocols. Ensure safety is designed into equipment and establish long-term maintenance and reliability practices. Provide engineering solutions to address failures and work with process owners on continuous improvement projects. Communicate effectively with AR associates, suppliers, contractors, and customers. Travel throughout manufacturing areas, buildings, and campus to observe equipment, and travel to customer and vendor facilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years related experience
- Communicate fluently in English
- Tolerate odors and noise associated with manufacturing operations
- Travel throughout the manufacturing areas, buildings and campus to allow personal observations of equipment and facilities associated with responsibilities
- Travel to customer and vendor facilities as required
- Accommodate a flexible work schedule
- Proficiency in computer programs for engineering such as Office 365 applications and AutoCad
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification preferred
- A self-starting team player that can handle multiple and changing priorities
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and project management skills
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Sound organization and communication skills
- Manufacturing experience is a plus. E.g. Mixing, coating, drying, web handling, or slitting
- GMP experience is a plus
