Job Summary
Develop comprehensive project plans, manage scope changes, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex utilities and nuclear projects on time, within budget, and to safety standards. Build schedules, track costs, identify risks, and implement quality control processes while maintaining accurate documentation and conducting post-project reviews. Communicate progress reports and issue escalations to stakeholders across engineering, operations, and compliance functions. This five-month contract with Southern Nuclear in Waynesboro, GA, may require travel to project sites for oversight and inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Experience in project management with proven success in delivering large-scale projects
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly regulated environments
- May require travel to nuclear plant or utility project sites for oversight, inspections, and meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the nuclear power sector is highly desirable
- PMP or other recognized project management certification preferred
- Nuclear power plant or utility industry experience strongly preferred
