Job Summary
Conduct Agile project management for state-funded educational software initiatives, including backlog management, sprint planning, and workflow configuration within Jira. Develop detailed program roadmaps that align business objectives, project milestones, and delivery timelines across multiple teams. Lead Agile software development teams through the full SDLC, ensuring on-time delivery of critical applications while monitoring deliverable quality and minimizing rework. Direct process consistency, resolve issues, and mitigate risks to optimize cycle time and reduce wait times. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including agency leadership and private sector partners, to foster buy-in and ensure stakeholder satisfaction. Articulate a clear technology roadmap and coordinate diverse project initiatives to support the State of Texas's educational system.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of direct project management experience
- 8 years managing state-funded or public sector budgets
- 8 years of experience with Scrum methodology and Project Management Life Cycle
- 6 years working with software application development teams
- 6 years of hands-on Jira experience
