Job Summary
Lead all aspects of the company's safety culture, investigate incidents, and mentor staff toward an injury-free environment. Manage prestart checklists, coordinate preconstruction activities including takeoffs and bid packages, and oversee the buyout schedule and submittal process. Direct subcontractor selection, verify pricing, and coordinate with logistics and risk management to ensure bonding requirements are met. Facilitate monthly project reviews, manage change requests, and prepare cost forecasts and budget reviews. Lead the overall project closeout process while utilizing Lean principles to develop schedules and mitigate impacts from scope, weather, or manpower changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- 7+ years construction management experience
- Valid and unrestricted drivers license
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
- Proficiency in project management and accounting software (Advanced)
- Proficiency in required construction technology (Advanced)
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Advanced)
- Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy (Intermediate)

- Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate)
- Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects

- Ability to build and strengthen external relationships
- Ability to conduct effective presentations
- Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate)
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
- Gains an understanding of the estimating process from conceptual phase through GMP development
- Identifies, understands and actively manages project risks
- Understands and manages project business plan in order to maximize financial success
- Manages deliverables provided by a variety of internal resources and functions such as IPS, logistics, self-perform, etc
- Utilizes awareness, experience and knowledge to identify problems and recommends solutions for review and implementation by the team
