Job Summary
Develop the critical path schedule for Feedwater Heater (FWH) replacement projects at Plant Hatch, coordinating with schedulers, engineering, and craft teams. Lead outage preparation activities, ensuring scope, resources, and safety standards are aligned while overseeing field work, rigging, and installation of interferences. Manage removal and reinstallation of existing and new FWH units, then coordinate post-installation testing to verify performance and compliance. Review work orders and schedules for accuracy, track project progress, and communicate milestones to leadership through cross-department coordination with operations, maintenance, and supply chain. This six-month contract with Southern Company requires on-site presence at Plant Hatch, Baxley, GA, with flexibility for extended hours during critical milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years project management experience in a nuclear power station or heavy industrial plant
- Direct experience with Feedwater Heater (FWH) replacements
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of outage preparation and nuclear plant systems
- Maximo (work order management) and Primavera P6 (schedule development) experience highly desired
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated success managing critical-path outage projects
