Job Summary
The project manager role provides project management support and leadership for essential WVPA operations-focused initiatives. Under supervision, leads execution of projects including engineering design, budgeting/cost management, schedule management, subcontractor management, and construction activities (substation or transmission line). Oversees deliverables from internal/external resources, facilitates readiness reviews and meetings, coordinates with subcontractors from bid to final deliverables, and communicates project updates to Cooperative members. Preference for PMI methods and PM framework familiarity; PMP certification preferred or obtainable; prior electric utility experience and proficiency with scheduling tools (e.g., Excel, P6) are advantageous. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and member cooperatives, with emphasis on safe, efficient project completion and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
