Job Summary
Project Manager 1 at Convergint leads and manages all aspects of assigned projects (typically up to $1M) from award through completion, including planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordination of field installation, start-up, and close out. Responsible for ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and quality targets, serving as the primary interface with customers to maximize satisfaction and safety, and guiding the team through proposal development, cost estimation, subcontractor management, and contract administration. Requires strong project-management skills in technical environments (building automation, fire alarm & life safety, electronic security, AV), leadership, effective communication, cost control, and the ability to drive successful, on-time project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience; Associates degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum Experience: 3 years relevant engineering, field service or project management
- Certifications & Licenses: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses; must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
