Job Summary
Manage assigned projects valued up to $1M from award through completion, overseeing site management, installation planning, and subcontractor supervision. Translate customer requirements into detailed proposals and implementation plans, negotiating contracts and preparing schedules while controlling costs and ensuring projects meet budgeted timelines. Act as the primary interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance, proactively identifying risks and minimizing deviations from estimated costs. Supervise project design engineering and installation labor, managing procurement of materials and services to ensure timely, cost-effective completion. Establish milestones, analyze actual versus estimated job costs, and adjust project plans to meet financial goals. This role supports Convergint's mission as the #1 global, service-based systems integrator in the industry, protecting lives and assets through reliable fire alarm and life safety solutions.
Required Qualifications
- College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
- Associates degree in Engineering or related field
- 3 years relevant engineering, field service or project management
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
- Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation and/or AV systems
- Previous project supervisory experience
