Job Summary
Entry-level Project Management Specialist supporting the PMO proposal effort and project tracking activities. Responsibilities include gathering/submitting documents for government proposals, developing templates with proposal writers, reviewing information for submittal, generating project cost reports, maintaining schedules, tracking contract deliverables, and assisting in risk management and resource coordination. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, ability to work in multi-disciplined teams, proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), familiarity with MS Project, and knowledge of PMI PMBOK principles. Bachelor’s or Associate degree with relevant accounting/PM experience is expected; US citizenship is required for contract work. Opportunities exist for growth into project management roles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree, or Associate Degree with 1 year experience/exposure to Accounting and/or Project Management principles
- HS diploma/GED with 2 years experience/exposure to Accounting and/or Project Management principles
- PMP or CAPM certification a plus
- Working knowledge / understanding of PMI's PMBOK principles a plus
- MS Project experience a plus
- Past experience in government proposal submittals is a plus
- US Citizenship required due to contract requirements
