Job Summary
Project Management Specialist responsible for creating, editing, publishing, and maintaining Navy-facing documentation; developing technical documents (reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books) and documenting operating procedures; interviewing production/engineering staff, reviewing reports, and collaborating with engineers, program managers, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation; familiar with DoD acquisition documentation, joint service requirements, and engineering tools (JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab); security clearance (TS/SCI) required or preferred; role involves coordinating with stakeholders across Navy and Joint Service partners to capture requirements and document system interactions; candidates should have 5+ years in technical writing/editing, experience in military or technical environments, and a Bachelor's degree; compensation range provided; remote/hybrid/onsite work model described.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing or editing
- Experience in writing, editing, or publishing, including within a technical or military environment
- Experience with engineering development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Gitlab
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition documentation and joint service requirements is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree
