Job Summary
Lead engineering teams in developing roadway and bridge design plans for transportation projects with WVDOH and local agencies while managing innovative projects across financial, schedule, and design tasks. Perform business development and marketing activities to generate future business, including project scoping, budget development, and assisting with marketing strategies for targeted clients within West Virginia. Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public, and handle project financials, invoicing, and cash collections. Complete the AECOM Project Management Certification Program within six months of hire. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 10 years of transportation project experience, and a West Virginia PE license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10 years of experience working on transportation projects
- demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- 2 years of demonstrated leadership
- West Virginia PE license
- ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
- Demonstrated scoping/estimating complex roadway/bridge projects
- Demonstrated experience tracking and managing project budgets and schedules
- Experience developing and mentoring junior staff
- Valid US driver's license
- ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
- MicroStation experience
- InRoads experience
- emphasis in traffic, transportation engineering, water resources, structures or other related field
- Leadership skills to develop engineers and project managers
- Must be able to thrive in a team environment
- excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Degree from an ABET accredited school
- Master's Degree
- Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
- attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
