Job Summary
The Project Maintenance Engineer will collaborate with the central projects team and farm managers to deliver high-quality products and workmanship, provide technical customer service, and diagnose solutions for electrical and mechanical challenges. Key responsibilities include installation, operation, maintenance of HVAC or water systems, and establishing maintenance and safety procedures. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1-2 years of experience in mechanical equipment repair are required, along with knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems. The role requires effective communication, customer service commitment, and an ability to work independently or in a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Construction, Electrical, or similar areas of study
- 1-2 years of mechanical equipment repair and/or maintenance experience within the swine industry or 2-3 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with fuse boxes and electrical testing equipment
- Ability to execute mechanical repairs on feed motors, gearboxes, fan motors, belts and bearings, feed line augers, boar bots and mortality removal equipment
