Project Lead - NERC Compliance

Job Summary
Project Lead to support the Energy Reliability & Security group with a strong focus on NERC Operations & Planning (O&P) and CIP Reliability Standards. This fully remote role requires hands-on experience in NERC Compliance, electric utility operations, and regulated environments. Responsibilities include compliance program support for FERC/NERC/Regional Entities, data collection for self-certifications and data requests, audit support and documentation, maintaining procedures and internal controls, and assisting with training materials and continuous improvement of NERC services. Ideal candidates will have a BS in engineering, 3–5 years in a regulated utility setting, knowledge of transmission operations and planning, strong communication and collaboration skills, travel up to 25%, and credentials such as PE or PMP (or CISSP as a desirable credential).
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Nuclear, or Information Technology Engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an electric utility or related industry working with NERC Compliance
- Technical knowledge of transmission system operations, generation resources, utility maintenance, and/or planning
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project team collaboration skills
- Experience working in a regulated environment; ability to travel up to 25%
- PE, PMP, or relevant credentials may substitute for experience
- Additional desirable certifications include CISSP or other cybersecurity credentials
