Job Summary
Lead engineer role delivering Automation and Power management systems for offshore projects with low to medium complexity; responsible for reviewing schematics for power management systems (PMS), designing PMS communication networks using industrial protocols such as RSTP, HSR, PRP, and MRP, engineering IEC 61850-based systems (MMS and GOOSE), integrating LV/HV switchgear with Modbus/Profibus/Profinet, and performing diagnostics via tools like Wireshark, IEDScout, and ITT. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering, experience on Power or Oil & Gas projects, strong English communication, and willingness to work onsite in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical or Electronics
- Worked on Power or Oil & Gas projects
- Familiarity with IEC 61850 editions and cross-integration techniques
- ABB 800xA with control builder, PMS library and workplace
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and implementation
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
