Job Summary
Maintenance position at Aviagen Turkeys Inc. responsible for basic mechanical repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems; perform repairs and installations on equipment including chain feed systems, line auger feed systems, Rotem controllers, watering systems, ventilation systems, generators, wells, and septic systems; repair wooden structures, poultry-related wiring, and fittings; read and follow task-specific instructions; use a wide range of power and hand tools; conduct routine maintenance on buildings; work in a farm environment with exposure to dust, chemicals, and variable temperatures; wear required PPE and drive maintenance van as needed; strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and ability to maneuver in physically demanding tasks; Lewisburg, WV site with on-site maintenance responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, flooring, masonry, electrical, welding, roofing, machinery, mechanics, HVAC
- Must be able to use basic hand tools
- Must read and follow task-specific instructions such as Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Must have own tools including basic socket set, wrenches, skill saw, grinder, drill, sawzall, volt meter, level, and tape measure
- Must be a team player with strong verbal skills and a positive attitude
