Project Interior Designer - Mission Critical

Job Summary

Develop and manage initial design concepts, branding strategies, and implementation documentation for mission-critical interior projects. Lead the full design process from programming through construction documents, supervising team preparation of design details and models. Coordinate client presentations, public hearings, and cost estimates while collaborating with vendors, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues. Manage project schedules, finances, and RFIs to maintain on-time delivery, ensuring design requirements are effectively conveyed to the broader team. Prepare meeting minutes and participate in product presentations to stay current on industry drivers and materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
  • Typically 8+ years of experience
  • NCIDQ certification
  • Advanced – expert-level experience, knowledge or skills
  • Advanced experience and skills in Revit
  • Advanced experience and skills in Bluebeam
  • Advanced experience and skills in Photoshop
  • Advanced experience and skills in Illustrator
  • Advanced experience and skills in InDesign
  • Advanced experience in Twinmotion
  • Advanced experience in Enscape
  • Advanced experience in other visualization tools
  • Intermediate experience and skills in Rhino
  • Intermediate experience and skills in Grasshopper
  • Intermediate experience and skills in Dynamo
  • Advanced preferred in Rhino
  • Advanced preferred in Grasshopper
  • Advanced preferred in Dynamo
  • Intermediate skills in AI design tools
  • Intermediate skills in virtual reality such as VR headsets and Yulio
  • Intermediate experience with FF&E to carry out design intent
  • Intermediate ability to manage team with diplomatic leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and external
  • Intermediate ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships
  • Intermediate presentation skills
  • Intermediate organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Intermediate ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Intermediate ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environment
  • Advanced ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality

  • Sustainable design accreditation
  • Intermediate experience and skills required to produce high-quality solutions or work
  • Basic – familiar with primary concepts or capabilities and can perform elementary functions
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of furniture specifications software
  • Basic knowledge of Navisworks
  • Intermediate knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
  • Intermediate knowledge of building codes and ability to research and incorporate into technical documents
  • Intermediate experience with managing and performing duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships preferred
  • Intermediate ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing preferred
