Job Summary
Project Interior Designer needed to lead development of interior environments across education (K-12), healthcare, and civic projects. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership for large/complex projects, leading BIM/Revit design development and construction documentation, coordinating with design teams and consultants, QA/QC processes, managing client goals, budgets, schedules, and technical scope in partnership with the Principal in Charge, ensuring code compliance, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to proposals/marketing. Requires a Bachelor’s in Interior Design (or equivalent) with 6+ years of interior/architectural project experience (or an Associate’s with 10+ years), proficiency in BIM/Revit and Bluebeam, strong organizational and collaborative skills, and experience with healthcare/education/civic projects; LEED accreditation and project-management tools experience are preferred. Hybrid work flexibility is offered, with salary range $77,300-$106,800 annually. Location: Sacramento, CA (US).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (or equivalent) with 6+ years of interior or architectural project experience
- Associate’s degree with 10+ years of related experience
- Strong experience managing the technical aspects of multiple projects
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative
- LEED accreditation (preferred)
- Experience with Healthcare, Education, or Civic projects
- Experience with Newforma, eBuilder, or similar project management tools
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff
