Job Summary
Project / Integration Engineer – Energy Systems Integration drives end-to-end integration of Energy Systems subsystems (HV battery, energy management, thermal, charging, HV/LV bus) into the vehicle platform. Works across engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams to meet program requirements for performance, quality, timing, and safety throughout the vehicle development lifecycle. Responsible for coordinating cross-functional studies, identifying gaps in interface definitions, maintaining HV and LV bus specifications, updating HV mechanization diagrams, providing technical expertise in integrating power electronics into the HV bus, and supporting weekly Energy Systems kickoff meetings. Requires collaboration with vehicle engineering, manufacturing, safety, and suppliers, with a focus on delivering integrated electrical solutions from concept through production. Preference for German language proficiency and willingness to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 3–10 years of experience in automotive, energy systems, or related engineering roles involving system integration
- Strong understanding of high-voltage (HV) systems, including batteries, power electronics, HV safety requirements
- Experience with multi-disciplinary system integration (mechanical, electrical, software)
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama) and system documentation practices
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
- German language proficiency is preferred
