Job Summary
Coordinate with multidiscipline teams to prepare proposals, execute field exploration programs, and manage construction observation documentation. Complete engineering analyses for soil classification, foundation capacity, slope stability, and seismic hazards, then prepare geotechnical reports and construction specifications. Be actively involved during the construction phase while positively interacting with client representatives. Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams to support complex infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, and deep excavations in Sacramento and Santa Rosa.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
- 8 - 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting
- extensive experience on infrastructure projects
- California P.E. license
- 6 - 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Positive work attitude
- ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of standard business software including MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Clean driving record
- the ability to pass a drug test
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
- Professional Engineer license in California
Desired Qualifications
- California G.E. designation
- Master's degree (preferred)
- 8-10 preferred
- Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, MSEW, CPeT-IT, and CLiq
