Job Summary
Experienced Exploration Project Geologist to support and oversee drilling programs, coordinate field operations, manage schedules, contractor oversight, and data interpretation, while ensuring health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across a 6-month contract in Arizona. Responsibilities include coordinating exploration drilling activities, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and materials, monitoring progress of drilling, logging, sampling, and assay workflows, overseeing contractors and vendors, maintaining project documentation and status reports, collaborating with geologists and stakeholders, reviewing exploration data with technical teams, and balancing operational priorities with technical exploration objectives. The role requires hands-on core logging, field operations coordination, and regular travel to project sites, with a strong emphasis on communication, problem-solving, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Geological Engineering, or a related field
- 3-7 years of mineral exploration experience
- Hands-on experience logging drill core and supporting exploration drilling programs
- Experience coordinating field operations, contractors, and exploration activities
- Strong understanding of drilling, sampling, and exploration workflows
- Ability to work independently in remote field environments
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard geological data management systems
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites throughout Arizona
