Job Summary
Prepare and review work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from the diverse portfolio and manage them within budget. Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed. Review and approve supplier work proposals and invoices, while evaluating and interpreting data to prepare detailed reports. Assist with marketing and business development activities and mentor junior staff to support their professional growth. Interact regularly with local and national clientele as well as regulatory agencies to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and on-budget. This full-time position includes some traveling, overnight, and weekend work, with potential for extended two- or three-week emergency response projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field
- Five or More years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, stormwater management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors
- Consulting experience
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies
- Demonstrated ability to properly manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelines
- Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) or Professional Geologist (PG) certification or ability to attain within one year of hire
- Ability to travel within the western regional US
