Job Summary
Manage geotechnical and geologic projects from proposal through completion with oversight from senior staff. Conduct field investigations including drilling, logging, sampling, geologic mapping, and construction observation. Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to prepare technical evaluations and engineering recommendations. Draft clear reports, proposals, and correspondence for clients and regulatory agencies. Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and public officials to ensure effective project delivery. Balance field and office work while developing project management and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
- 3-7 years of relevant professional experience in geotechnical or engineering geology consulting
- Strong field skills including soil/rock logging, geologic mapping, and construction observation
- Solid writing and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Team-oriented mindset, curiosity, and initiative to take ownership of your work
Desired Qualifications
- Progress toward California professional licensure (GIT, EIT, PG, PE, or CEG/GE) is preferred
