Project Financial Assistant

Job Summary

Generate and update complex financial reports, track financial deliverables, and identify critical financial issues or shortfalls. Act as the primary financial reporting resource within program guidelines and contract requirements. Develop monthly and quarterly reports including Task Order Status Reports, Staffing Plan Reports, and Personnel Listing Reports. Advise the Project Manager on spend plan execution down to CLIN/SLIN levels and participate in monthly meetings to identify funding gaps. Assist with Task-book and WBS documentation, travel schedule execution, and routine subcontract procurement activities. Coordinate program meetings, facilitate working groups, and support new hire on-boarding. Assist customers in purchasing material requisitions and create receiving logs. Develop and deliver Weekly Status Reports. This role is contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree and/or combination of education and five years of project financial management and administrative experience
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
  • Active Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • A U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within the DoD contractor support industry
  • Some experience the use of Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint to build and maintain org charts and flow diagrams
  • Ability to use Microsoft Project to perform routine tracking of IMS details
