Job Summary
Lead overall project direction by negotiating owner contracts, managing budget and billing, and ensuring fiscal success from pre-construction through closeout. Define project budgets and schedules, assign qualified staff, and oversee resources while maintaining relationships with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors. Represent Suffolk to external entities, chair project meetings, and champion jobsite safety. Monitor cash management, accounts receivable, and financial forecasting to hit profitability objectives. Transition day-to-day operations effectively to Project Managers and Superintendents, mentor staff, and adapt to unique project challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10-15 years of construction management experience
- Experience for a large-scale general contractor or CM at Risk firm
- In-depth knowledge of intricate commercial construction practices
- Experience leading multiple successful project teams
- Experience in development of direct reports
- Maintaining relationships with external entities
- The ability to manage and embrace change
- Respond and adapt to new processes and new ways of looking at old problems
