Job Summary
Lead multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and financial performance. Mentor and support Project Managers while resolving complex challenges and establishing strategic direction for assigned projects and market sectors. Build strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and industry partners by participating in client presentations, proposal development, and business development activities. Review project status reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to drive project success. This role balances client expectations with team development within a highly respected, employee-owned construction firm known for integrity and long-term client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of progressively responsible commercial construction experience
- Proven success managing multiple large-scale projects and leading project teams
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and project forecasting
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable representing the company with clients, industry organizations, and business development opportunities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with academic, higher education, institutional, healthcare, or commercial construction is highly desirable
