Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations for construction, project management, and project administration activities while developing and implementing corporate policies to support established goals. Enhance client relationships through award-winning service and successful project completion, and promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally with vendors and instilling this philosophy in the project team. Collaborate with estimating and purchasing to set up projects for profitability, and mentor the project team by establishing annual performance goals for direct reports. Formulate contract terms with clients, ensure project strategy is clearly defined, and guide multiple jobs through pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction phases. Identify and mitigate risks to client operations, review monthly status reports and estimates, and supervise subcontract bidding and negotiations. Maintain positive cash flow, ensure timely progress payments, and conduct jobsite walks to verify quality, eliminate safety hazards, and ensure successful project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science
- 10+ years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development
- Capable of moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site
- Capable of climbing ladders and temporary stairways
- Capable of conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction
- Capable of conducting jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion
- Capable of conducting jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards
- Completion of work in an office/job site setting (not remote)
- Ability to work in outside weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate loud noise levels
- Ability to tolerate exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to tolerate exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Ability to tolerate exposure to vibration
- Ability to tolerate exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site
