Job Summary

Oversee and enhance the performance of an assigned portfolio including offices, divisions, markets, projects, personnel, and clients. Establish leadership culture by exemplifying core values of Integrity, Community, Relationships, and Innovation while providing strategic guidance for personnel and projects. Own succession planning and bench strength through regular talent reviews, identify flight risks, and act as the principal escalation point for personnel, project, or client issues. Manage financial and risk performance metrics, own P&L for the assigned division, and review significant financial decisions and forecasts. Foster business development by representing the company at industry events, assisting in proposal development, and cultivating relationships with joint venture partner firms. Review and approve major contract terms, JV agreements, and partnership structures to ensure compliance. Participate in go/no-go evaluations and strategic positioning discussions while establishing risk tolerance levels and escalation thresholds.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 15+ years of progressive construction leadership experience
  • 5+ years directly managing people
  • 18+ years of equivalent, extensive construction leadership experience without a degree
  • strong demonstrated track record
  • robust people and project management fundamentals
  • capability to assume direct leadership of complex projects
  • Demonstrated history of leading and developing teams
  • Extensive expertise in financial, contractual, and risk management
  • Executive presence and business development capabilities
  • sound judgment in discerning when to provide remote guidance and when to engage directly in a particular project
  • Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training
  • willingness to obtain OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training within 6 months of employment
  • willingness to comply with company and OSHA safety requirements
  • Must be capable of wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other specialized equipment as required by the job
  • Current certifications for First Aid and CPR
  • willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications
  • ability to sit for prolonged durations and utilize a computer, phone, and other office equipment
  • ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds
  • ability to remain standing or walking for prolonged durations and maneuver through structures that are only partially constructed
  • ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, whether permanent or temporary stairways, and walk across uneven terrain in areas under construction
  • ability to review documents and construction drawings
  • ability to communicate in person, by phone, or virtually
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • No requirement for employment visa sponsorship
