Job Summary
Lead construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, negotiating owner contracts and managing budgets, billing, and profitability. Define project scopes, assign staff, and oversee resources to ensure alignment with client expectations and Suffolk's standards. Represent the company to owners, architects, and subcontractors while championing jobsite safety and monitoring schedule performance. Mentor project managers and superintendents, drive Lean Planning processes, and maintain continuous client relationships to gauge performance and communicate updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10-15 years of construction management experience
- Experience for a large-scale general contractor or CM at Risk firm
- In-depth knowledge of intricate commercial construction practices
- Experience leading multiple successful project teams
- Experience including development of direct reports
- Maintaining relationships with external entities
- The ability to manage and embrace change
- Respond and adapt to new processes and new ways of looking at old problems
