Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations for construction, project management, and administration by guiding multiple jobs through pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction phases. Enhance client relationships through award-winning service and successful project completion while promoting positive subcontractor relations. Collaborate with estimating and purchasing to ensure profitability, formulate contract terms, and identify new business development opportunities. Mentor and coach the project team by establishing annual performance goals, recruiting personnel, and supervising subcontract bidding and negotiations. Identify potential risks to client operations, develop mitigation plans, and maintain positive cash flow through timely progress payments. Review and approve monthly status reports, estimates, schedules, and all subcontract purchase orders to ensure compliance with corporate policies and cost control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science
- 10+ years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development
- Capable of moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site
- Capable of climbing ladders and temporary stairways
- Capable of conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction
- Capable of conducting jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion
- Capable of conducting jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards
