Project Executive - Commercial Construction

Job Summary
Manage two or more commercial HVAC or plumbing projects by planning staff, establishing policies, and monitoring on-site superintendents to ensure schedule and budget adherence. Initiate client, architect, and engineer liaisons to facilitate business development while representing the company in negotiations and strategy meetings. Control financial aspects including fee payments, equipment rentals, and subcontractor scopes, and generate revenue forecasts, schedules of values, and cash flow analyses. Develop construction plans, issue subcontracts, and prepare change orders, implementing corrective measures for safety, quality, or production issues. Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to maintain positive morale and project performance. Requires overtime, travel, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- 10+ years' experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance and project management
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize project performance
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
- Must be a skilled businessperson
- Must have a satisfactory driving record, criminal record, and ability to pass a drug screen
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Requires overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the BIM process
- Prior experience with Procore – Project Management System
- Prior military experience
