Job Summary
Lead the execution of solar hybrid projects (400 kW – 10 MWp) through the entire lifecycle from late development to handover, overseeing EPC schedules, integrating EMS controllers, gensets, PV, and BESS to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Review and approve engineering designs (SLDs, electrical, civil, mechanical drawings, BoQs), manage contracts, liaise with clients and regulators, ensure QA/QC and HSES compliance, build and mentor multidisciplinary teams, and drive successful handover to operations. Requires engineering degree, 7+ years in solar/large EPC, PMP with COREN/NEMSA/NSE registrations, and strong scheduling, cost control, and contract management experience. Preferred: advanced PV/hybrid design tools (HOMER, PVsyst, Helioscope) and familiarity with Nigerian grid codes and regulatory processes.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, civil) or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of project management in power generation (solar), power distribution, and/or large C&I EPC
- Minimum 3 successfully executed solar hybrid projects > 3 MWp including BESS, from design to commissioning
- Strong technical experience with EMS controllers, BESS, and genset integration
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical, civil, and mechanical drawings, and BoQs
- Proficiency in contract execution and LD management
- Proven track record in project scheduling, cost control, and use of project management tools
- Registered with NEMSA Category A, NSE membership, and COREN
- PMP certification required; CEM is an advantage
