Project Estimator / Project Coordinator

Job Summary
Receive and qualify project inquiries, then meet with customers to discuss scope, budgets, and timelines. Prepare detailed estimates, bid packages, and proposals by reading construction plans and performing quantity takeoffs. Purchase materials while negotiating pricing, coordinate schedules with subcontractors and vendors, and monitor progress to ensure budgets and expectations are met. Communicate regularly with clients, track costs and change orders, and assist with invoicing and closeout activities. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, identify risks early, and develop solutions before they impact schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in estimating, project coordination, project management, purchasing, or construction operations
- Construction industry experience
- Experience preparing construction estimates and reading blueprints
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs
- Purchasing and vendor management experience
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- experience with landscaping, hardscape, artificial turf, outdoor construction, or similar industries
- Experience using Microsoft Project or other project management software
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
