Job Summary
Project Estimator/Manager responsible for preparing detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints/specifications, using HeavyBid and Bluebeam estimating software, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing, and monitoring project costs to ensure budget adherence. Will conduct site visits, assist in bid proposals/presentations, and maintain orderly records of estimates, bids, and contracts while collaborating with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely, within-budget project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Solid knowledge of cost control measures and project management techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.
