Job Summary
Entry-level Project Estimator in construction supporting management of commercial structured cabling projects. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints/specifications to prepare accurate estimates, tracking budgets and material orders, coordinating with vendors/subcontractors and internal teams, generating baseline project schedules, managing change orders, and traveling to job sites (local and occasional out-of-state). Maintain records, assist with invoicing and documentation, support contract negotiations, ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, and communicate project progress. Ideal candidates excel in clear written/verbal communication, take initiative, possess a technical mindset for blueprints and cabling systems, problem-solve, and work well both independently and in teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project is preferred, with additional value from familiarity with Wi-Fi networks or data centers and certifications such as BICSI (RCDD) or PMP. A Bachelor’s degree, valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and strong organizational skills are required; travel as needed.
