Job Summary
Project Estimator at Diamond D Industries, LLC, a women-owned heavy construction specialist, responsible for calculating costs for civil construction projects including clearing, access, site preparation, and concrete foundations. Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment; review project plans and specifications; conduct site visits to gather data; collaborate with owners, engineers, and project personnel; identify risks and cost-saving opportunities; perform risk assessments; utilize estimating software; prepare bid proposals and evaluate subcontractor bids; monitor project costs and adjust estimates; provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle and participate in project meetings with insights on cost-related matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-4 years proven experience in estimating.
- Experience with estimating software such as HCSS or Bluebeam.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Advance analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
