Job Summary
Project Estimator role responsible for producing engineering and manufacturing estimates and proposals to support quotes and new business development. Responsibilities include evaluating CAD models, drawings, and specifications; coordinating with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain to gather inputs; ensuring understanding of engineering and quality requirements; developing collaborative relationships across departments; supporting quote submissions with Account Managers and the Commercial team; identifying raw materials, bought-out items and subcontract needs including quality approval requirements; supporting NPI gated process meetings and adhering to all company processes and EHS requirements.
Required Qualifications
- D – Engineering qualifications or relevant experience
- D – Commercial experience
- E – Experience in an aerospace (or similar highly regulated industry) manufacturing environment
- D – Experience in Build-to-Print manufacturing
- E – Familiarity with costing models
- D – Familiarity with margin analysis and commercial risk assessment
- E - Microsoft Office
- E - Microsoft Excel
- D - ERP Systems
- D – CRM Systems
- E – Ability to read engineering drawings
- E – Ability to interpret CAD data and technical specifications
- D - Problem Solving
- D - Basic Project Management
- D – Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and forming
- E – High attention to detail
- E – Ability to multi-task
