Job Summary
This position involves reviewing home floor plans and electrical blueprints for upcoming projects, performing material takeoffs, and preparing job pricing estimates. Candidates will work closely with the Senior Project Estimator to confirm the accuracy of estimates and maintain cost databases. Strong communication with internal teams and the ability to identify potential cost risks are key responsibilities. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field and strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation methods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician or in the electrical field
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and electrical plans
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately
- Ability to follow standard pricing models and gross profit targets
- Willingness to create new processes and improve existing workflows
- Comfortable learning new software, systems, and technology tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with estimating, accounting, and operations teams
