Job Summary
Project Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join the Environmental Service Group in Buffalo, Syracuse, or Rochester, NY. Responsibilities include serving as the technical expert on regulatory compliance projects across areas such as petroleum/chemical bulk storage, storm water, hazardous waste, and air quality; contributing to proposal development, project estimating, and technical document preparation; performing field activities; preparing permits and technical reports; overseeing project financials and staff execution; conducting quality assurance reviews; and providing staff management and professional development. Required: a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of environmental consulting experience in permitting and compliance, strong technical writing and analytical skills, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, geology or related programs
- 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
- valid driver’s license
- willingness to travel and undertake overnight travel
- strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
