Job Summary

Lead technical advisory and project management for environmental remediation consulting, providing specialized input on studies and designs while developing cost estimates and technical procedures. Manage technical, cost, and schedule elements of project delivery, perform quality control reviews of calculations and drawings, and prepare technical specification sections. Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and develop engineering budgets to meet requirements. Work independently and as part of a team to communicate effectively with clients, site personnel, and office management. This role combines project work with some business development within the Environment Remediation Practice team in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Environmental Engineering
  • 6 years of related experience
  • Valid U.S Driver's License
  • Must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
  • United States citizenship
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a project team
  • Commitment to the team's success and growth
  • Ability to rigorously apply safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery
  • Ability to effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System
  • Ability to assume leadership roles on projects and within the department
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with the team, and with clients to enable the pursuit of new opportunities

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering
  • Experience on work or projects with the Florida Department of Transportation
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) Licensure, certifications, and/or accreditations
  • 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting with focus in site assessment and/or remediation
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • Proficient technical writing (remedial investigation reports, corrective action studies, etc.)
  • Familiarity with State and Federal Environmental Regulations
