Job Summary
Oversee engineering department personnel, capital projects, O&M initiatives, and outage planning at the Milton R. Young Station. Review plant systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and load factor while providing technical expertise for problem-solving and equipment testing. Coordinate stakeholder inputs to identify and budget projects, assign project managers, and track long-lead materials and resource allocation. Facilitate comprehensive studies, manage the Life Cycle Asset Management process, and support procurement and work management software. Provide after-hours coverage, oversee safety inspections, and address emergency repairs for vital equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- EIT certification
- equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience
- Minimum of five years of progressively more responsible technical and administrative experience in project planning, and operation and maintenance of a steam electric generating plant
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- minimum of fifteen years of progressively more responsible power plant operations, maintenance, engineering support, or project management experience
- Experience in managing and supervising power plant projects
- tracking budgets
- working with a variety of people
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be able to travel outdoors to multiple locations
