Job Summary
Apply engineering principles and utilize tools such as Excel, Power BI, and WinEst to support the development and review of AACE Class 5 through Class 3 cost estimates under mentorship. Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and benchmarking using engineering drawings and project data to develop practical estimating and project controls skills. Develop estimating reports and databases while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to gain exposure to capital project execution. Participate in team meetings to ensure alignment of goals and priorities. This 12-month term begins January 2027 with a 5-on/2-off schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Civil-Structural, Electrical or Energy disciplines)
- Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license
- All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
- Safety sensitive position
