Job Summary

Lead a multi-discipline engineering team from product conceptualization through production transition, managing technical, budget, and schedule commitments for electronic components and systems. Evaluate Requests for Proposals, review Non-Recurring Engineering estimates, and coordinate engineering inputs to technical proposals. Serve as the primary point of contact for Project Management, customers, and manufacturing, conducting status meetings, technical reviews, and design reviews while tracking issues to closure. Manage assigned personnel, equipment, and lab space, ensuring specialized support like reliability and thermal design is included. Initiate design-to-cost programs, oversee supplier technical activities, and investigate component failure trends to implement permanent solutions. Maintain a 0.95 project CPI and SPI, report engineering metrics, and manage technical risks. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have experience leading teams of engineers on projects from concept to delivery
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC
  • being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents
  • recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation
  • understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL)
  • understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US
  • manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services
  • Occasional travel requiring overnight stays
  • Airline travel must be acceptable

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 years in a supervisory role preferred
  • Radar knowledge/background is preferred
