Project Engineering Manager (Gas Power)

Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of engineers day-to-day, setting the pace for delivery, driving a culture of continuous improvement, lessons learned, and root cause analysis, and ensuring engineering schedules are met with quality. Own engineering execution strategy for your project portfolio by defining design review milestones, freeze points, and tollgate disciplines while maintaining budget accountability and providing quarterly financial estimates. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, leading meetings with customer, partner, and owner representatives to resolve technical challenges with ownership. Ensure full contractual compliance across all engineering deliverables, manage the Management of Change process for design changes, and collaborate with the Project Management team to secure customer change orders. Drive engineering productivity through lean process improvements and resource optimization across your assigned portfolio. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, significant experience in power plant projects, and ability to travel to project sites and customer offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Significant experience in engineering and/or project management within the power plant industry
- Significant experience in international or cross-functional project environments
- Strong knowledge of power plant principles, processes, and system interfaces in complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environments
- Proven ability to manage engineering budgets, schedules, and resources across a portfolio of concurrent projects
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and coordinating across multidisciplinary, global stakeholder groups
- Flexibility to travel to project site, customer office as and when required and overseas business travel occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with GE Vernova core technologies and product lines
- Experience managing commercial change processes and customer-facing technical negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to drive standardization, lean processes, and continuous improvement in engineering delivery environments
- Ability to speak Chinese language
