Project Engineering Delivery Lead

Job Summary
Lead the delivery of engineering work packages to agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing dependencies, risks, and performance updates. Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, budgets, and delivery performance in collaboration with project controls and engineering leadership. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, supporting bid, change, and growth activities including estimating and solution development. Drive delivery to committed milestones within complex defence programmes, requiring SC clearance eligibility and 4 days per week onsite work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or relevant technical military background with equivalent experience
- Engineering project, delivery, or work package management experience within a complex technical environment
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
- Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams and engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of risk and opportunity management, delivery governance, and performance reporting
- Ability to coordinate activities across the full engineering lifecycle and drive delivery to committed milestones
- Experience working within Defence, Aerospace, Naval, Security, or other highly regulated sectors
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to influence and coordinate teams without direct line management responsibility
- Proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
- Comfortable operating within complex programme environments and managing competing priorities
- Must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance
- Must be available for 4 days per week onsite
- 7+ years' experience
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, DOORS, Confluence, or similar project and engineering management tools
- Experience supporting bids, proposals, change requests, or business growth activities
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies
- Experience working on radar, communications, mission systems, underwater systems, or other defence programmes
