Job Summary

Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for storm drain, watershed, floodplain, pump station, and flood control projects using advanced modeling tools and GIS technology. Build, calibrate, and validate engineering models with historical rainfall and field data while performing flood risk, drainage capacity, and infrastructure deficiency analyses. Evaluate alternatives to develop Capital Improvement Program recommendations and manage GIS databases to support engineering studies for public agencies throughout California. Conduct field investigations, coordinate with stakeholders, and prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, and client presentations for drainage master plans and FEMA flood studies. Assist with pump station and storm drain improvement projects to address complex flooding and climate resilience challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • California Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in water resources engineering
  • Passion for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

  • Experience with HEC-RAS
  • Experience with HEC-HMS
  • Experience with InfoWorks ICM
