Job Summary
Plan and manage engineering projects from concept through completion, including equipment acquisitions, facility expansions, and manufacturing process improvements. Collaborate with project managers, facility engineers, and designers to define requirements, develop layouts, and manage external vendors. Prepare project budgets, schedules, and status reports while optimizing equipment for maintainability and reliability using LEAN principles. Lead the implementation of new technology into manufacturing processes, providing technical support during installation, commissioning, and testing. Analyze root causes for manufacturing issues and modify procedure standards related to plant layout and construction. Abide by all safety rules, attend assigned meetings, and support sales or product coordination as needed.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, or other solid modeling software
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and analytical
- Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Willingness to accept assignments of all types which may include intermittent travel up to 40%
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with all types of machinery, mechanical equipment, automation, types of construction methods, and construction equipment
- General knowledge of steel fabrication processes (Welding, CNC milling, facing, etc.)
- Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability
- Familiarity with database management
