Job Summary

Define project engineering scope, assumptions, and work estimates while preparing schedules and tracking milestones for new product development. Generate timelines and cost estimates, create bills of materials, and manage complex programs with multiple concurrent deliverables in a matrixed environment. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams for design reviews, cost metrics, and ideation. Work with manufacturing engineers to build prototypes and write engineering changes in the PLM system. Develop solutions to complex problems where little precedence exists using ingenuity and creativity. Manage global internal and external supplier/partner interfaces to meet product schedules and design targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree with design/development experience
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering design or product development
  • Electrical and electromechanical knowledge
  • Experience with electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with PLM data-entry and BOM creation, e.g., Oracle, Agile EC
  • Ability to interpret safety agency standards, e.g., UL and IEC, towards creating a safe product design
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively within cross functional engineering teams
  • Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Electrical and electromechanical knowledge preferred
  • Experience with electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Working knowledge of mechanical 3D CAD modeling a plus
  • Sheet metal design experience a plus
