Job Summary

Execute custom project designs for water and wastewater treatment systems, coordinating mechanical design, order execution, and technical bid evaluations for equipment such as pumps, vessels, and treatment units. Lead project support teams by delegating tasks, reviewing engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems and local codes. Resolve project issues through scheduling and technical coordination while interfacing with project managers and customers. Assist Applications and Project Management teams by feeding findings directly to Product Management to solve systemic product issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related Engineering field.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment design and/or UF/MBR system design.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and PFDs (including material balances).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and a basic understanding of water chemistry.
  • Experience with hydraulic design including head and NPSH calculations for sizing of pumps.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal guidance, while also communicating effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team and department projects.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize work and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute against multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.
  • Good technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 10% to 20% of the time.

Desired Qualifications

  • Process design experience including engineering experience with water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Experience in the UF/MBR domain and knowledge of the various product related content, process and tools in use today.
  • SAP system experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers.
